Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced on May 28th the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) is deferring the due date for employers to pay their June, July, and August premium installments until September 1st. For more information please here.
The BWC has waived “Green Year” Training Requirements for the current plan year. Typically if your organization participated in either a Group Rating or Group Retro Plan for the 7/1/2019 – 6/30/2020 Plan Year and had an injury claim during the 7/1/2017 - 9/30/2018 “Green Year Period a member of your organization normally would have been required to complete a 2 hour Safety Training Course and submit this documentation prior to June 30, 2020, but this requirement has been waived for the current plan year. This Green Year training waiver is in addition to the previously announced waiver of training typically required for participation in other discount programs such as the following: (Drug Free Safety, EM Cap Program, Grow Ohio, Industry Specific Safety Program, One Claim Program, Policy Activity Rebate Program.)
